American Cancer Society Meet & Greet

4:00 PM

October 10, 2017

4-6 pm. Heather’s Ale on tap all month!

Our October Strangers Helping Strangers beneficiary is the American Cancer Society. Raising cancer awareness is near and dear to my heart because of all the friends I’ve lost to cancer, and my friends who have survived cancer.

Heather’s Ale – Brewed in memory of Heather Clarke, who lost her battle with breast cancer on September 4th, 2014. Heather was the kid sister of my longtime best friend Gary Lueck, going all the way back to high school in Arizona in 1980. This made her my kid sister too. Losing Heather at such a young age was really hard. Brewing Heather’s Ale every year helps keep her memory close to my heart. Heather’s is our fresh-hopped IPAphany IPA. This year we brew it with 17#/barrel fresh Cascade from High Wire in Paonia. A portion of proceeds from every pint sold will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

Strangers Helping Strangers  – Every month, Strange Craft raises money and awareness for a different non-profit. The October beneficiary is the American Cancer Society. On Tuesday, October 10th, from 4 to 6pm, representatives from ACS will be at the brewery for the October Meet and Greet. This will be an opportunity to connect the ACS with the Strange craft beer community and get people involved. In addition, Strange Craft has teamed up with Meier Skis to create a one-of-a-kind custom artwork snowboard to be raffled off at the brewery in October, will all proceeds going to the ACS. The snowboard will be on display at the brewery, and in our GABF booth. Strange will also donate a pair of custom artwork Meier skis to the American Cancer Society to be auctioned off at their annual Denver Gala fundraiser on Saturday, November 4th.
